Your repository history
Commits, branches and tracked project files belong in Git. Keep using it.
Claude Code builds up local project history, sessions, instructions, commands, agents and skills that make work fast and resumable. Calmbu maintains agent-aware coverage for that supported context and verifies recovery.
Git remains the source of truth for your code. It does not automatically preserve all the supported Claude Code context that has accumulated around your projects and working style.
Commits, branches and tracked project files belong in Git. Keep using it.
Claude Code project metadata, sessions, user instructions, custom commands, agents and skills can live outside the commits in your repository.
Project history, sessions and user-level Claude Code setup can become a single-device dependency when no separate recovery point exists.
A deletion, profile problem or incompatible change can remove sessions or configuration that took real work to build up.
Your repositories may clone cleanly to a new PC while your supported Claude Code instructions, commands, agents, skills and history do not.
A completed copy is not enough. Calmbu also checks that the encrypted recovery point is ready to recover.
Agent-aware coverage protects approved local workspace data around your repositories.
The backup is locked on your PC before it reaches the destination you choose.
The recovery point must pass Calmbu's private recovery checks before it is called Protected.
Calmbu can update and retest supported coverage when an agent changes.
Both plans encrypt, test, recover and migrate your supported Claude Code workspace. Choose how quickly new work becomes protected.

Git protects repository history and intentionally tracked project files. Claude Code also uses supported user-level project metadata, sessions, settings, commands, agents and skills that may sit outside Git.
Calmbu targets supported native Windows Claude Code state including project and session metadata, CLAUDE.md, settings, custom commands, agents and skills. Known credential files, private keys, caches and temporary files are excluded.
Calmbu runs on your PC and encrypts the supported workspace state before it leaves the machine for your chosen destination. Calmbu does not receive your readable backup contents or private recovery code.
A verified recovery point can help reconstruct supported Claude Code state on a compatible Windows PC. You should clone repositories normally and sign in again instead of treating a backup as a credential transfer.
